Spring has been cancelled. (I suspect it commutes by bus and therefore can’t make it this year.)

mermaid by ms oddgers on flickrI have heard people speaking of seed catalogs and the planning of gardens. I no longer believe this will be necessary since, as far as I can see, winter will never end. Fingers in mittens, peripheral vision obscured by toques and scarves, the sound of boots in snow, the smell of wool drying by the heater – this is the new reality. This is all there is.

They’re calling for over 15cm today and tonight. Even the groundhog can’t save us now.
